Kernel Magazine

Kernel Magazine, a print publication by Reboot, provides a container for our alternative vision amidst prevailing fatalism and hype in technology discourse. It offers critical analysis while proposing pathways forward. Kernel is fueled by divergent insights from technologists' own experiences and features diverse content like non fiction essays, narratives, fictional works, poetry, illustration, and art forms that defy category. Kernel Mag is central for fostering dialogue and building community within Reboot.

I had the pleasure of joining the design team for Kernel Magazine from Issue 4 onwards, themed around "Luck." Alongside Justin, our seasoned book designer, we laid out articles, artworks, and illustrations using InDesign before sending them off for print. Kernel holds a special place in our hearts—a labor of love for all involved. I hope you have the opportunity to grab a copy and enjoy the prose and visuals curated by my friends and me.

(More photos & scans to come, I just got my hands on a print copy this week!)
